The National Award for SENCO Providers Group (Leading Learning for Special Educational Needs and Disability CiC), as part of Whole School SEND and funded by the DfE, has developed an Induction Pack aimed at new and aspiring SENCOs.

Exam season can be incredibly stressful for students – and for their parents! Dr Amanda Hipkiss, a secondary SENCo of many years’ experience, has put together a free guide for parents on supporting children through this critical time and helping them to become ‘exam ready’.

The North Yorkshire Inclusive School Sports Partnership is jointly running an inclusive dodgeball, boccia and basketball inter-school competition for the schools in the area plus Mowbray and Springhill School.

This is a great opportunity to bring a team of 6 pupils who are either on the SEND register or are highly inactive to join in with this fun School Games event.

Last week, the Government announced an extension of the review of its autism strategy to cover children and young people, as well as adults. The review will inform the new joint adults and children autism strategy to be published in autumn 2019.
