Dyslexia Awareness Week 2022

Dyslexia Awareness Week will take place between 03-09 October 2022. The theme this year will allow to reflect on the barriers that those living with dyslexia often face, while also focusing on how individuals, organisations and the education system have continued to succeed and break through these obstacles.

Neurodiversity content in LEANS

Neurodiversity will be a new concept and new set of vocabulary within many schools. The LEANS curriculum introduces neurodiversity concepts, and explores how they impact primary school experiences. Importantly, LEANS shows how we can hold a positive attitude towards neurodiversity, while also recognising the challenges faced by many children in school.

This major piece of work has been a 6 month effort to design and create an online resource that meets the needs of dyslexic people of all ages. Dyslexia Scotland brought together all of the information and resources that you might need along your whole life journey, all in one place.  

Whether you are someone with dyslexia or a changemaker who champions inclusion in your setting, the new site makes it easier to find and share the information you need.
