The SEND Code of Practice places great importance on involving parents and children in identifying, understanding and taking decisions about special educational needs. We work with parents, recognising the importance of neurodiversity, to create unique pupil profiles.

For parents be at the heart of decision making about their child, it is helpful for them to be fully informed about their child’s needs.

We liaise with a number of parents support group and offer:

• bespoke support.
• workshops, meetings and specialist information sharing.
• reduced rates on all our training events for parents/carers.

Supporting Young People to Feel Calm, Focused and Ready to Learn

Concious Breathing Training

Conscious breathing is a simple yet powerful wellbeing practice that helps children and young people develop greater calm, focus and emotional resilience. It also provides teachers and school staff with practical tools to support their own wellbeing and create a positive learning environment.

Suitable for pupils of all ages, this evidence-informed training explores accessible breathing techniques that can be easily integrated into the school day to support physical, mental and emotional health.

Cost:
£225 + VAT, plus travel expenses

Event Bookings

By booking an event through the Areté Learning Exchange, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and the associated Cancellation Policy.

Cancellation by the Attendee

• If you cancel your booking more than 14 days before the event start date, 25% of the booking fee will be retained as an administration charge and 75% will be refunded.
• If you cancel within 14 days of the event start date, no refund will be payable and the full booking fee will be retained.

Cancellation by Areté Learning Trust

If Areté Learning Trust cancels an event, a full refund of any fees paid will be provided. Areté Learning Trust shall not be liable for any additional costs incurred by attendees, including travel, accommodation or other expenses.

Event-Specific Terms

Unless otherwise stated on the individual event listing, the cancellation terms above will apply. Where specific cancellation terms are published for an individual event, those terms will take precedence over this standard Cancellation Policy.

Changes to Events

Areté Learning Trust reserves the right to make reasonable changes to event content, speakers, venues, timings or delivery arrangements where necessary.
