What can you can expect from the training?
This half-day training session will provide delegates with information on practical interventions/teaching strategies for supporting students who are not making expected progress in literacy. The session will focus on:
- Teaching strategies / approaches to improve underlying phonological skills needed for reading/spelling
- Multisensory approach to teaching
- Overview of Active Literacy Kit intervention
Training led by: Frances Robertson (Dyslexia Alliances)
Frances is a primary school teacher and SENCo, dyslexia specialist teacher, assessor and trainer, who worked for the national charity Dyslexia Action as principal of Leeds Centre and Yorkshire Area Manager. Currently she is working with Dyslexia Alliance Yorkshire.

KS2 and KS3 class /subject teachers, TAs
