Identifying & Supporting Students with Speech, Language & Communication Needs

A two session webinar - 9th February & 11th May 2022

This webinar will be over two sessions to be delivered via ZOOM:



Session 1 - 9th February 3pm - 5pm:

  • How to identify pupils with SLCN—what to look out for in the classroom and initial strategies to check out their language
  • Identification gap task
  • Simple strategies to support (gap task)

Session 2 - 11th May 3pm - 5pm:

  • Feedback from gap tasks
  • Providing strategies for support in the classroom

Training led by: Wendy Lee
Wendy has worked as a speech and language therapist for over 30 years. She has worked in clinical practice, higher education and the third sector, where she led on a number of projects, as well as inputting on national policy and research. Wendy is currently the Director of LINGO, which provides consultancy, professional development, resources and speech and language therapy. She works with academy trusts, schools and settings and in partnership with local and national organisations supporting speech, language and communication.

Audience: KS2 & KS3 SENCos, Inclusion Managers, Teachers, TAs, Learning Mentors

Cost: £62  + VAT/ person for both sessions
