This session will provide an understanding how ADHD presents in girls.

This session will provide an overview of ADHD in girls, specifically focussing on:

  • Why they are often misunderstood.
  • Why they are often missed.
  • Why they are often misdiagnosed.
  • Available support for girls with ADHD
  • Tips from clinicians and professionals who work with them.

Delegates will have a good understanding of how ADHD presents in girls.

Training led by: Dr Jo Steer
Dr Jo Steer is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and is Associate Director for the Emotional Health Service at Achieving for Children in South West London. Jo edited ’Understanding ADHD in Girls & Women’ in 2021, which has been described as ‘the most important book written in the field of ADHD for many, many years’. Jo has also authored ‘Supporting Kids & Teens with Exam Stress in School A Workbook’ and co-authored ‘Helping Kids & Teens with ADHD in School A Workbook’.
