- Understand the difference between a behaviourist approach and a relational approach to supporting behaviour
- The sciene of relationships
- Learn how to regulate young people and stretch their window of tolerance
- Learn how to connect with young people using therapeutic language and maintain high expectations through assertvice language
- Learn how to teach socially acceptable behaviour leading to long lasting successful behaviour change
*All of the above will be supported through practical examples and video footage of relational practice being used in action.

Training led by: Luke Mitchell
Specialist Leader of Education, visiting fellow for the NPQLBC Advanced Team Teach Tutor, Touchbase Certified Attachment Lead, Lead advocate for supporting children who have suffered trauma and loss, ITT lead, Theraplay. Luke is responsible for the development of Positive Regard and leads the team of specialists across the country to support schools and children’s services to embed a values driven relational approach. Luke has been a part of the Wellspring Trust and Positive Regard since its creation and directly supports with specialist behaviour consultations, reviews and training delivery.
